Last year, The Prime Minister of Israel appointed a committee led by former Israel Supreme Court Justice Edmond Levy to examine the status of Israeli building in Judea and Samaria.
The committee concluded that based on International Law, on the basis of both historical and legal factors, that Israel’s presence in Judea and Samaria is not an “occupation” or “illegitimate” and that Israel has the legal right to settle in Judea and Samaria. The report was quickly buried due to international pressure.
